Remote work has become the new norm both during and after the pandemic, offering flexibility and convenience. However, you’d still have to create an effective setup, factoring in comfort and efficiency to stay productive throughout the day. Here are some ways to build your WFH setup in your new place at Amberwood at Holland.
Set Your Work Area
In your condo, set a space dedicated for working, such that when you enter the room, you are immediately put into the work mindset. Pick a place with no distractions, and make sure the space is big enough to fit your equipment such as a desk, chair, monitor and computer so that it does not feel too cramped.
Invest in Ergonomics
Ergonomics merge efficiency and comfort, minimizing back and neck pains, and strain from repetitive motions that you do with your keyboard and mouse. This reduces the risk of getting health issues as your whole body is supported, giving you practical posture and viewing to prevent your body from breaking down at an early age. You will be sitting down on your chair for a number of hours a day, every week, so make sure that you are comfortable. Keep in mind that ergonomics are only here for support so you will still need to move around, so don’t forget to also take breaks and stretch around.
Ensure a Stable Connection
Remain productive with good internet and placement. Your setup should be near the router so that it can get through walls and provide you with a good connection to stay lag-free during meetings, collaboration sessions and when tackling tasks.
Keep Things Neat and Within Reach
Make sure your space is organized, place important things within reach. Keep wires organized with zip ties or velcro. Make sure your space is clean, remove dust, clean your keyboard and wipe the display of your screen. Install proper lighting to reduce the risk of eye strain.
